HEATING BANDS

The heating bands are responsible for heating the plasticizing unit and its components (end cap, nozzle). In terms of the materials used during production, heating bands for plasticizing barrel are divided into the following basic groups:

CERAMIC HEATING BANDS

  • formed by ceramic segments with heating coils
  • high heat output
  • higher operation temperatures
  • several variants of design (number of terminals, its position, outlet, etc.)

MICA HEATING BANDS

  • It consists of a mica carrier wrapped with a resistance band
  • stainless steel or nickel-plated
  • lower depth of construction
  • more design variants

MICA HEATING BANDS FOR NOZZLES

  • It consists of a mica carrier wrapped with a resistance band
  • stainless steel or nickel-plated
  • several versions of design (terminal block, outlet, closed outlet, etc.)

INFRARED HEATING BANDS

  • compared to previous types, it is a non-contact heat transfer
  • fast transfer, equable heating, stable performance
  • including thermal insulation = energy saving, convenient operation and maintenance
  • Long-term use at temperatures up to 800°C
  • long lifespan
  • power supply options: 36V, 110V, 180V, 220V, 380V
